I'm sorry, which of Bradbury's short-stories are you referring to?

there will come soft rains

In the story, There Will Come Soft Rains, the house is a character..... in fact, the house is the only character. The house's anthropomorphic characteristics, which means its ability to act on its own, illustrate the way in which the house lives on, even after the world around it has been destroyed. As readers, we feel sympathy for the house.... it has a personality, it goes on, and it has the ability to be angry. It also takes on an appearance of sickness, and after a fire breaks out, it ceases to function.... it metaphorically dies.
