How are Achilles and Priam both changed by their encounter?

Priam is changed by his realization of what it means to be human..... he has come to appreciate humanity as a whole and embraced the idea of compassion, community, and simply living..... enjoying life.

Like Priam, Achilles comes to see his human side..... to see himself as a son, as a father. Through his interaction with Priam, Achilles is also able to straddle his identities, god/man and warrior. In the end, he seems to be at peace with himself, all while knowing that his own death is soon to come..... or possibly, because he knows his death is near.
