Story: "The Telltale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe.

There are multiple settings in The Tell-Tale Heart. The action takes place in the house, which the narrator shares with the old man. The narrator, however, is telling his story from either a prison or insane asylum. Another important thing to remember is that much of the action the narrator talks about takes place nowhere but in his own imagination.
