How does Slim feel about the friendship between George and Lennie?

Slim see George and Lennie's friendship in a positive light, conceding that it is based upon mutual caring and respect. This is quite contrary to the belief of many of the men on the ranch that George is simply taking advantage of Lennie's disability to earn more money.
