Describe Curly"s wife and her situation? What bad things happen in Ch. 5?

Curley's wife is a lonely woman on a ranch filled with men. Her husband views her as a trophy wife. He has no time for her himself, gives her no attention, and yet, becomes excessively jealous if she receives any attention at all from anyone else.

In Chapter Five, Lennie accidently kills Curley's wife in the barn. She invites him to feel the softness of her hair.... Lennie, being Lennie, gets carried away, and then breaks her neck while trying to stop her from screaming.
