With what attitude toward the gods does the play leave you?

The play definitely shows reverance to the gods, as we clearly see different people attempting to intercede on the part of both Thebes and Oedipus. None-the-less, the gods are unrelenting, which leads me to believe they selfishly saw the end so perfectly planned.
