In Nickel and Dimed, what were the 3 reasons barbara believed that the american dream no longer existed?

I read his quite awhile ago. I can give you my general interpretation but I'm not sure how it is worded in the text.

-Market demands wage (for this reason minimum wage is so low as not viable to live on)

-Exploitation of immigrant and illegal workers

-Trickle down economic system. That is whatever trickles down from the rich will eventually get to others. This of course is a case of too little too late.
