Didn't Deianeira and Hercules lived happily after both got the golden apples to cure the poison??

Well, kind of happily ever after. Nessus kidnaps Deianira.Hercules kills Nessus and rescues his wife. Before Nessus dies he gives Deianira some of his blood and says to use it on Hercules should another woman threaten to take him away. When Deianira thinks this might happen, she washes Hercules' shirt with the blood. The blood actually almost kills Hercules but he is granted immortality by the Gods in the end.
