Question from chapter 3 of Mississippi trial
The funeral the next day is quick, but Hiram wants to be by himself as the mourners stand around and talk. He runs into Naomi Rydell who shows him where her mother is buried. Overcome with emotion, Hiram cries in front of Naomi although he tries hard not to. Naomi tells him that whenever he gets to missing anyone, he can go to the spot she likes to go to when she is grieving, the Fulton Street Bridge. This makes Hiram feel slightly better. This shows that Naomi is kind and empathetic.
