Merchant of Venice
what is portia's attitude towards bassanio ?
act 1 scene 2
act 1 scene 2
Not too much is said here. Narissa jogs Portia’s memory and says the Bassanio deserves a good wife more than any other of the suitors, "True, madam. He, of all the men that ever my foolish eyes looked upon, was the best deserving a fair lady." Portia simply agrees and says that Bassanio probably deserves that praise.
