If positions were reversed, would Antonio demand fulfillment of the bond according to the terms that were set?

One of the reasons Shylock so disliked Antonio was that he would lend money without interest, thus, interfering with his business. Antonio believed the bond to be a joke.... he would never have asked for the "pind of flesh" to begin with.
