Act 1, scene 3. What light do the mentioned lines throw on the charecter of the speaker?

Shylock knows that Bassanio and Christians do not like him. They act like shrewd bussiness men but will not even lend money for interest. He finds it ironic that they should play nice with him when they need money. Shylock thinks they are weak hypocrites for asking him.
