How does Maniac respond to Grayson's inquiries in chapter 24?

In Chapter 24, Grayson jokingly mentions eating an evening meal, and Maniac talks Grayson into taking him to a diner. While they eat, Grayson begins to question Maniac about his life with the Beales on the East End. Their conversation clearly illustrates Grayson’s ignorance to cultures other than his own. Maniac takes no offense to Grayson’s questioning, and he assures him people on both ends live similarly.
