Glen Morgan
Glen Morgan is 16, and she is the main character in the novel. The author depicts Glen as an intelligent young woman who is ambitious, determined and hardworking. Glen has lived with her father since she was six when her mother mysteriously disappeared.
Glen is an engineering student, and she looks forward to inventing a new planet in future where she can live happily. With her best friend, Kevin, Glen looks forward to crossing the border to exploit her potential. When Glen gets a metal bracelet from her father, she crosses the border with Kevin, and they discover that everything on Earth is a lie.
Glen’s father
Glen's father is a brilliant man and a great-celebrated scientist. In addition, Glen's father is a loving man despite his busy schedule. When his wife disappeared many years ago, he raised his daughter single-handedly. Unfortunately, his busy schedule keeps him away from home most of the time. Glen's father embarks on a big scientific project that threatens the government. When Glen's father completes his project, he is arrested. The police also pursue Glen and her best friend, but they escape.
Glen’s mother
Glen's mother is described as irresponsible because she decided to walk out of her family when Glen was only six years old. The mother leaves the parenting responsibility to her husband despite knowing he is a busy man who rarely spends time at home. The mother disappears from Glen's life for several years. When Glen is sixteen, she crosses the border to search for her mother.
Kevin Kapoor
Kevin is a lovely man who is understanding, caring and determined to assist whoever is in need. Kevin and Glen are childhood friends who have kept their trust in each other. When Glen proposes that she intends to work on an invention to help her escape the Earth, Kevin gladly accepts to assist her in everything she does. Kevin is gay, but he falls in love with Glen with time.
The government
The government is the main antagonist in the novel. The government does not support the innovations done by Glen's father. The government believes that if Glen's father succeeds in his scientific projects, he will help people to escape Earth and relocate to a different planet. When Glen's father completes his project, he is arrested. The police also pursue Glen, but she manages to escape.
