Why did Josie aspire to belong the world of ‘Poison’ Ivy? What language feature is used here?

By the end of this chapter, Josie talks about how she wishes she was in Poison Ivy's world and how she wanted to belong.

This is the upper-class white world that Josie wants to be part of. It is also including her crush, John Barton. "Poison Ivy" is a euphemism for her rival Ivy.
