Chapter 1 She discovers his name when looking at some old wedding photos with Nonna. Later she learns a bit of history from her mother.
Chapter 2 She meets Michael.
Chapter 6 She sees him again at the BBQ and learns a bit more about him and hears her parents discussing her. She later discusses him with her mother.
Chapter 8 He comes to school when Josie gets in trouble and "rescues" her.
