what annoys josie so much about the rituals at her grandmothers house?

I think that the biggest ritual that Josie hates is actually visiting her grandmother to begin with, "Rituals. They come and they go, but the ritual of having to see my grandmother every afternoon drives me absolutely insane" (pg 33)

Josie has to listen to her grandmother's pailful cries giving her advice about various things she is not doing well at.
