The irony is that King's letter might be even more relevant today than it was when it was written. Race relations in the United States seems like they are at an all time low. King's plea for racial harmony is even more urgent in a racially polarized America. Consider the Black Lives movement and recent police shootings of black men. King "had a dream" but it is far from realised yet.
