Gopalan is the lover of Paru Amma and the father of Lakshmi kutty. He is a lawyer who belongs to a well off family. Gopalan promises to give a good life to her but, instead of marrying Paru, he marries the commissioner's daughter.
Lakshmi Amma
Lakshmi Amma is a kind neighbor of Paru Amma, who gives shelter to her when Paru's step mother starts torturing her; Paru thinks of Lakshmi Amma as a mother figure.
