Dr. Warren told Johnny that the battle, which was comprised of seven hundred British soldiers fighting against seventy rebels found the rebels fleeing the battle field. Few rebels were killed, but the battle at Lexington marked the first shedding of Patriot blood. The British quickly left Lexington and were on their way to Concord.
