Explain how people of events (listed below) have helped to change certain aspects of his personality?

Controlling his temper- Rab gives Johnny advice to control his temper. Johnny sees that this really benefits him in the long run. (see chapter 5)

Expressing affection- Priscilla Lapham helps Johnny to express his love, feelings affections.

Losing confidence- Dove plays a practical joke on Johnny which ends up disfiguring Johnny’s hand. He is no longer able to work as a silversmith’s apprentice. Johnny loses his status in the Lapham household and his self-confidence.

Growing intellectually- Johnny gets a job with the The Boston Observer and grows more political.
