How are the mirror and the aquarium metaphors in Invisible Man

I think they symbolize the distorted image that many blacks have of themselves living in a society appropriated and dominated by whites. Who are they supposed to be? Do they follow the white model of the well behaved submissive subordinate or the wild savage? The narrator wonders if perhaps there is another identity possible that is their own.
I think that is so big problem to solves for me my idea doesn't run like thas facts. That the black magics and that are not the way of gods
