Are you referring to Chapter 43? Saul leaves the town of Manitouwadge at the age of eighteen. Fred Kelly warns Saul that it'll be hard for him to find work elsewhere, he thinks Saul should stay put. At this point Saul is running away from his past. He wants to forget everything.
