What eventually happened to Saul at White River? What question of Saul's can Father Loboutelier not answer? Why?

Saul was eventually let go from the white team at White River. The irony is that Saul was the superstar on the team. Parents complained that their mediocre kids were not getting enough ice time. It was easiest to kick an Indian off the team. Father Leboutelier insists that hockey is still God's game and meant for everybody regardless of skin colour. Saul wants to know where is God when he is humiliated and kicked off the team. Father L. cannot answer this.
