Now in the second section of the novel (Chapters 11-24), how has Saul's definition of family changed?

Anything was better than residential school. The school tried to destroy the idea of family and being indigenous. Saul has to re-learn family again but the Kelly family quickly remind Saul what family means.Saul was reminded of his aboriginal identity.
