María Argentina Minerva Mirabal, the third Mirabal sister, and the one most wrapped up in the revolution. She and her revolutionary husband, Manolo Tavarez, have two children: Minou and Manolito. She is passionate about her family and her cause. When Minerva returns from prison she says, "I have learned through struggle and through this government, that I must earn respect from others to become a leader in the Dominican Republic".
