Describe the standard of living in the village. What kinds of things do people not have access to?

The residents of the SWAT Valley are very poor compared to Western standards. Many of the people lack basic education and access to medical care. They also lack the fundamental freedoms that many people in the West take for granted. Conservative Islam heavily influences much of the education that lucky children get to attend.
