The Ghost alludes to the spheres of the heavens when he says to Hamlet in Act 1 Scene 5, "Make thy two eyes, like stars, start from their spheres" (line 17). Why is it appropriate, in the context of the entire scene, for the Ghost to make reference to the stars falling from their spheres?

I think the Ghost is alluding to the to the idea that the universe is out of joint because a king (the ghost) has been murdered. Of course the main meaning is that Hamlet will be so shocked when he hears the story.
