Who is Redresal? How was he instrumental in saving Guliver's Life

Redresal is a friend Gulliver made while in Lilliput. He assisted Gulliver by speaking up for him in order to reduce his punishment for treason. Originally, he was to have been executed; Redresal helped to have that punishment lessened to the loss of his eyes.
