Freak has been yelling and causing a ruckus because Blade and his boys have attacked Max and are collecting rocks to throw at him. Freak begins to whistle to attract an oncoming police car. When the police stop and asks their names, Max describes the situation....

Freak is still holding tight to my shoulders and when they ask him for his name, he says, “We’re Freak the Mighty, that’s who we are. We’re nine feet tall, in case you haven’t noticed.”
