Oneiric culture refers to the state of dreaming. In the Wizard of Oz, for example, the reader is left to wonder whether Dorothy actually traveled to Oz, or if it was a dream. In the novel, The Feed, life is experienced through the feed..... whether or not any of it is reality is left to be seen. In context, "we are the nation of dreams" seems to be pointing out our addiction to technology..... and the fantasy or otherworldly experiences it provides.
