In the book, Feed, how much autonomy does Titus have throughout the story? What are some examples?

Titus is completely reliant on his feed and for most of the novel has no apparent autonomy. His relationship with Violet, however, and the fact she isn't reliant on the feed, opens Titus up to new ideas, and he begins to change. In the end, Violet's illness causes him to withdraw from her completely because he cannot communicate on her level, and then it does the exact opposite..... drawing him to her. Thus, I would say that the relationship between the two young people decreases Titus' reliance and allows him some autonomy.
