Fahrenheit 451

Why does Beatty want Montag to keep burning books? Can you get some evidence from the book?

Thank you very much!

Beatty told Montag that fire was the solution to society's problems, "Don't face a problem, burn it," Beatty told him. Beatty, himself, is burned as a solution to Montag's problem. Burning books simplifies life: it takes the complexities of life out. Unfortunately, burning books also takes the beauty out of life.
