Henry Miller
Henry Miller was born on December 26, 1891 to German American parents. His father Heinrich worked as a tailor, and his sister Lauretta Anna was intellectually disabled. They were a working-class family, and Miller described his childhood in some of his writing as being very much “of the streets.”
