Ender out shines his opponents so people hate him. The boys that go up against him like Stilson and Bernard are intimidated by Ender. Ender was specifically chosen by Colonel Graff and the inner circle as the chosen one. He has exceptional intelligence and an aggressiveness which, when combined, makes him a lethal soldier and brilliant commander. Ender consistently beats other companies in simulated battles. Other boy leaders find Ender a threat and Ender makes them feel incompetent.
