How is chapter 12 like chapter 1 in someway?

In chapter 12 Ender kills his second person. He is once again physically overmatched, but not only wins, but knows that to truly end the confrontations, he must win thoroughly. The killings were not actually intentional, and he is unaware that he has killed the other boys.
