With increasing advances in scientific knowledge regarding genetics, many people are becoming increasingly concerned about the ethical, legal, and social dilemmas that such advances bring. Currently, many fertility clinics allow clients to screen embryos for chromosomal or genetic abnormalities, or (less commonly) for gender. But let's take this a step further, and imagine that we somehow get to the point where people are able to create "designer" babies, picking and choosing their children's genes.
