Why do you think haiku and Basho'p s poetry have continued to inspire readers

Not sure what you mean by "Bashop" but Haikus are simple and fun to write. They work on the elemental qualities of language stripping down ideas to the core. There is clarity in the simple. This calms the brain, it's like a meditation.

I think it's 'Basho' as in Matsuo Basho, who first created the haiku form.
