The book refers to something called a “Black Man’s Curse,” meaning that escaping racial profiling is impossible for black men (or black people). At Bras Prep, Jus is one of only a few Black kids at his school. He is a full-scholarship student who worked hard to get there. Just because he's been admitted, however, does not mean that his trouble is not over. He has to navigate a school environment that does not understand—or is even overtly hostile towards—Jus's identity and background.

Jus faces racial profiling not only at school. He was arrested by the police while driving with his white friend. The officer suspected Jus of being a thief or a drug dealer simply because he was black and driving an expensive car. As a result, Jus was injured. It was a traumatic experience that affected his self-esteem and relationships with others. Jus felt that society would always judge him based on the color of his skin. He thought that getting a scholarship would provide him with better opportunities, but he realized that it didn't change how people perceived him. I resonate with this issue, and I believe that by writing a scholarship essay, I can share my experience and draw attention to the importance of overcoming racial prejudices. I achieved this through https://edubirdie.com/scholarship-essay-writing-service which was an incredible help in expressing my thoughts and feelings. It provided me with the structure and support to make my narrative strong and compelling. I believe that education should be inclusive and accessible to everyone.
