How is Cyrano de Bergerac a heroic comedy?

We might view Cyrano as a tragic hero if it weren't for the man. He is courageous, daring, and compassionate..... he is the subject of tales, and he captures the imagination. Unfortunately, the hero always get the girl, and Cyrano, far from a physically attractive hero, who leaves the women swooning..... leaves them laughing, guessing, and fully emtertained. Cyrano draws attention, and he captures the audiences' hearts.
