Explain the bittersweet pleasure that Cyrano feels in the disappointment with Roxane.

As Cyrano is leaving, Roxane makes him promise to look out for her husband... to make sure he writes her everyday. Through his letter, Cyrano can speak plainly about his feelings. Roxane still has no idea.... but her desire for letters leaves im with a bittersweet sense of pleasure.
