Does Mike Love Tina?

So, we all know about Tina Pendergast, the next-door neighbor of the Howertons. It seems that throughout the novel, Mike appears to be in love with her but he is afraid to admit the truth to her. Towards the end, he appears at the door wearing fancy clothes and holding a bouquet of flowers, implying that he's moved on. So is it true that Mike is really in live with Tina?
