What were conditions like for the Sioux at the Standing Rock Reservation?

The reservation is a horrible place. Indians are forced to accept rations. They are given farms with poor land. The Sioux were not farmers to begin with. Former chiefs like Sitting Bull were denigrated to begging for rations. Sickness was rampant as was alcoholism.
