What problem does the main character face?

Selina is torn between her mother and father, as they argue over the family's future... whether they will remain in New York or travel back to Barbados where her father has inhertied land. After her father's death, Selina, who loved her father dearly and mourns his passing, finds herself at odds not only with her family but her community.
