Why is the book titled bridge to Terabithia

The "bridge" part of the title works on a literal sense. Jess actually builds a bridge linking the fantastic Terabithia to Lark Creek.

because that is the name of the place they choose to call the place that they make up with their imagination if t6hat makes sense?
