Born a Crime, Chapter 9
“Revenge truly is sweet. It takes you to a dark place, but man, it satisfies a thirst” (125). Do you agree with Trevor’s
feelings about what is happening at this point in the story? Why or why not?

I do in fact agree. He feels that revenge is something good. At some point in the story as well, Trevor refers his father to the kid that was bullying him, near his house. That day, Trevor saw another side of his father that he had never seen before. He even stated about the kid, that this hurting of the kid was not just to apologize to his son, but it was to apologize for his entire life. The extent of revenge that is needed for this to be achieved, is outrageous. Therefore to anwser the question, no, I don't agree with revenge in any way, because revenge destroys human morals, and humanity as well. It is a cycle, that once started is very hard to break.
