My membership is good until October 2018. If I cancel it so it won't be renewed, will it still be good for the time I paid for (until Oct., 2018)?

If you've already paid for the membership through October, I'm sure your membership will continue through the date specified when you joined. To be sure, however, I'd advise you to email Gradesaver directly through the "Contact Us" button at the bottom of the page.
