Aristotle: Nicomachean Ethics
What are the two actions of which liberality is the right habit?
...
...
Aristotle says that liberality implies the right habits in both giving and taking. That is, the liberal person seems to give/spend the right amount to/on the right people and take from the right kind of sources. Both vices surrounding liberality tend to take from the wrong sources or give/spend the wrong amounts.
