Eisenhower strengthened Social Security and began the Interstate Highway System. Good...... he signed Civil Rights Legislations. Bad....... he didn't want to be involved in racial issues. Good...... he sent troops to Little Rock when desegregation was becoming violent....... bad, he never supported it.

McCarthy...... Eisenhower should have stopped him from bringing people in under Anti_American activities; Eisenhower didn't like the men, but he didn't criticize or stop him either.
