re-read the paragraph beginning 'the animals huddled about clover' page 70 why do you thing Orwell chooses to include it and place it in this particular position in the chapter?

Orwell uses this paragraph to illustrate the ways the animals view their reality..... the way Clover views what the animals fought for and sees the way things turned out. This scene directly reflects how many of the animals feel and foreshadows Squealer's appearance with the dogs.
